WHAT'S NEW!

10/27/07:  We still don't have money from the insurance company to buy another house, but Channel 2 (WSB-TV) in Atlanta interviewed me, in the interest of educating consumers on what to do and how to do it when you have a tragedy.  The complaint with the state Insurance Commissioner's is progressing nicely, making for more chapters for my book.  And OH, by the way (HA!), we have re-outfitted my office and I can produce (almost) anything for which people ask.  The Writing Police books will be on hold until Spring/Summer '08.

9/15/07:  The battle with the insurance company continues.  I think I'm going to write a book about our experiences, hoping to help others learn what to do after a major malfunction, like being burned out of their homes.  OKI think "Baptism by Fire" would be a good title.

8/1/07:  We're in an apartment.  Insurance company really wants to hang on to their money.  Why have we paid premiums all of these years?  Have a feeling that there's gonna be a real fight over them giving us our full measure of "replacement cost insurance."

7/14/07:  Well, they can quit with the clothes now...  The hundred dollar bills are still appreciated!

7/4/07:  Praise Heaven!  Every time a car passes our daughter's house (we're living in her basement), they throw out a bag of clothes and a hundred dollar bill!  Ben Franklin was always my favorite Founding Father!

6/29/07:  Our house was struck by lightning and burned down.  We lost everything that we own, along with our beloved toy poodles.  The up side is that our next move will be the easiest move we ever made.  Down side is that I lost ALL of my copies of The Writing Police series of reading books, along with all of my equipment to produce books.  More to come....

August 30, 2005:   I was interviewed on a cable station in South Georgia, WSST-TV, Channel 55 in Cordele, GA.  The host, Phil Streetman, was a kind man (or is that crazy?!) to let me ramble about how I came to write The Five Finger Paragraph.  Where will I be seen/heard next?!?

August 24, 2005:  WAGA-TV, Fox 5 Atlanta.  My "Good Day Atlanta" spot aired at 7:10 a.m., with Good Day Host Mark Hayes.  It was amazing to try and sit still  on the guest sofa!
